Janet Evanovich topped once again NY Times Bestselling list with her novel Tricky Twenty-Two. The huge sales of the book came with positive feedback from the fans of Stephanie Plum’s adventures. After the release (November 17) of the latest title by the 72-year-old American writer, the numbers of Amazon reviews passed the prestigious mark 1000 and averaged 4.4 Stars.
So here we are with another episode of our 13 Facts rubric.

Tricky Twenty-Two is book #26 from Stephanie Plum’s series.

The novel is number 60 in the bibliography of Janet Evanovich.

The movie Midnight Run was the basic inspiration of creating the character of Stephanie Plum as bounty hunter.

The movie rights for One for the Money (Stephanie Plum book #1) were sold for $1 million. With the money Janet Evanovich paid all her loans for her kids’ education and also repaired her roof.

At the beginning of Evanovich’s writing career she received so many rejection letters that she filled a big cardboard box with them. Later she set it on fire.

Janet Evanovich’s first offer to sell her manuscript for one of her romance novels was $2000. The future star writer considered the money as an “astounding sum”.

The husband Pete is kind of business manager. All three family members are the primary editors of her novels.

The writing habits
of Evanovich are very strict. She starts every morning at 5 and works at least four hours per day, seven days a week.

Last year in August Janet and her hubby Pete celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary. “We stopped talking to each other 12 years ago — that, and separate bathrooms,” revealed the famous author what is the secret of such a long partnering during a meeting with fans in Atlanta.

The adventure spirit in Janet Evanovich’s novels came from her childhood. She adored the comic books of Donald Duck and his nephews.
