There is a lot of searching and frustrated ambition, the characters are often not what they seem, there are many fumbled attempts to help each other, but the book is ultimately a love story between damaged people and also with a very challenging landscape.

VINCENT ZANDRI: I WAS IN A VERY DARK MOOD WHEN I WROTE ORCHARD GROVE

The New York Times bestselling writer Vincent Zandri is returning with his new book Orchard Grove. The novel was released on January 12 and already was valuated very high by the readers.

The good friend of Land of books was already our guest. Check out the previous interview with him. Now we are adding some more questions around his interesting character and intriguing new books.

vincent_zandri

– Vincent, welcome back to Land of Books. You recently released Orchard Grove, tell us about your new novel?
– I wrote Orchard Grove while recuperating from extensive foot surgery not long ago. I was housebound and miserable, since normally, I’m a very active person. I love lifting weights, jogging, hiking, traveling, and just being on the go. I think the only thing I slow down for is to write and read. Orchard Grove is the result of my frustration. Here’s the plot:

Sometimes fences make for nice neighbors. Other times they hide the evil within. Orchard Grove is a town like any other, with quiet neighborhoods and apple groves . . . though Ethan, the depressed screenplay writer, and his secretive wife, Susan, would tell you differently. So would the seductive serial killer living next door.
The apple trees are fertilized with evil, and the backyard fences aren’t enough to stop the manipulative mind games and dangerous lies. The lines between good and evil are blurred, and then erased, as Ethan does what it takes to survive.
