– What is your book Heart Collector (Au Coeur de Solstice) about?
– First I want to thank you for your invitation and the opportunity you give me to present my book and the way I wrote it. As you know, I am French (and you will have a perfect confirmation of this point when you read my answers). So, please be indulgent with my English. I try to do my best.
Heart Collector is the story of a several characters, trying to stop a guy who has a very bad habit: killing women and extracting their hearts. Nadia, a police officer, is in charge of the case but has no clue. She is supported by surprising people like a young engineer, a professor of history or a priest. The main characters have to face their past to try to save the last kidnapped woman. The novel is actually a manhunt, balancing between events that happened thirty years ago and now.

ALEXANDRA BUTCHER: SUCCESS IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT

Alexandra Butcher a.k.a. A.L. Butcher released earlier in 2014 the second part of The Light Beyond the Storm Chronicles – The Shining Citadel. The British author writes fantasy, loves astronomy, history, animals, films and gaming. We’ve got a chance to speak with Lady Butcher for the products of her creativity and her great blog.

alexandra

– Alexandra, what is your last novel The Shining Citadel about?
The Shining Citadel is the second in the Light Beyond the Storm Chronicles fantasy series. It follows the main characters, an elven sorceress Dii and Lord Archos as they seek out at first a missing elven artefact and later discover the lost Citadel. The world of Erana is a dangerous place; magic is illegal, punishable by death and elves are little better than slaves so an elven sorceress seeking out a lost elven city is a very dangerous proposition. There’s a lot of intrigue in the story, for the adventurers are not the only ones interested in the Citadel and what it might bring and not all their companions are what they seem. Truth are lies are turned on their heads, right and wrong are not clearly defined and at least one character has an epiphany. This is an exciting tale of heroes, monsters, forbidden magic, love, and betrayal.

– Jennifer, Your book Yellow Star is an incredible story. When was the first time you decide to put the memories of your aunt Sylvia in a book?
– For over fifty years, my Aunt Sylvia did not speak about her childhood in the Lodz ghetto in Poland during World War II. When she finally told her whole story for the first time, it was to me. I took notes and thought it was such an amazing story of family and survival, I turned it into a book.

Akin revolves around a young man who awakens in his small, desert village to voices he both fears and is attracted to. Due to the strongly cultural and religious environment he is surrounded by, his behavior is met with hostility, and he is soon launched on an adventure in this archaic world, witnessing both incredible beauty and a deafening brutality. The novel is epic in its grandeur, and contains no fantasy or supernatural elements despite bridging that elusive gap between a fable and the real world.

MR GRAHAM: I COLLECT BOOKS, HATS AND BLADED WEAPONS

Year ago MR Graham released the first part of Liminality series – The Medium. It’s a story about vampires and wizards. Our next guest published a total of five books. All of them are with very high rating in amazon – one of the most sure proofs of quality.

mr

– What is your book The Medium about?

The Medium is a somewhat non-standard paranormal novel. The good guy is not a hero, and the bad guy is not exactly what he seems.
Lenny is a defective vampire. Shy, insecure, and literally unable to kill, he tries very hard to avoid notice until the night he is kidnapped and imprisoned by Sebastian, a psychopath bent on turning him into what a vampire should be. The situation is only made worse by Lenny’s dual nature: he is also a medium, a creature born for the sole purpose of aiding the dead, and Sebastian is definitely a dead thing in need of help. His only hope is Kim, a practical young wizard tasked with hunting Sebastian down, but her ancient and powerful family is not nearly as accepting as she. Trapped by Sebastian’s mind control and by his own pathological need to heal his captor, Lenny quickly realizes just how easy it would be to slide into evil, himself.
