AMAZON TOP 10 BESTSELLERS: FEBRUARY 2015
The February chart of the most wanted books in Amazon was very exciting. The battle for the top places was decided in the very last week of the month. Just three points separated the first three books. Once again the dominance of Kindle First Choice selection proved that Amazon’s marketing machine is working very strong.
10. Fifty Shades Darker by E L James (New Entry) 31 points
The second part of Fifty Shades trilogy won a lot of points in the last two weeks. The reason is the debut of the movie on the Valentine’s Day. E. L. James must be happy with two books in Top 10. The third and final chapter of the romance – Fifty Shades Freed is on 14th place, while the Trilogy Bundle pack is also very strong on 12th place.
9. American Sniper by Chris Kyle (4th last month) 33
The movie continues to gather more and more revenues in the box office. Currently the numbers are close to $434 mil. and counting. 8. My Sister’s Grave by Robert Dugoni (Return to the Chart) 36
The novel of Robert Dugoni is once again returning to our chart with strong 8th position. My Sister’s Grave finished in Top 3 for November and is still gaining respect. The praise by the readers is forming a huge sum of Amazon reviews – 5600 plus with average 4.4 stars. Check out our interview with Mr. Dugoni to learn more about the book.
7. The Mermaid’s Sister by Carrie Anne Noble (New entry) 40 (KF*)
One of the Kindle First Choice selections for February strikes Top 10 position for Carrie Anne Noble. The fantasy adventure was compared to a faerie tale by some readers. They gave pretty high valuation for debuting author – 4.3 stars from almost 500 Amazon reviews.
6. Fifty Shades of Grey by E L James (New entry) 57
What can be said for a book with more than 100 million sales around the world? The return to the top charts of Fifty Shades of Grey is because of the movie premier. You may read Land Of Books’s article about the adaptation process.
5. Maude by Donna Mabry (4th last month) 58
Maude split the forth place last month and now is going down by one position. Still pretty impressive. The great story by Donna Mabry earns day after day more and more fans. Check out the story behind the book in Land of Books’s interview with the author.
4. The One That Got Away by Simon Wood (New Entry) 62 (KF*)
The former race driver Simon Wood wrote one of his best stories. The novel was picked up by Amazon’s “Thomas&Mercer”. In the month before the official release of the book the fans of crime and mystery fiction loved The One That Got Away and gave it averaging 4.4 stars from 700 Amazon reviews. 3. The Dead Key by D. M. Pulley (New Entry) 73 (KF*)
The Dead Key is another strong entry with great reviews. So far D.M. Pulley’s thriller earned the high esteem with 900 plus reviews with average 4.4 Amazon stars. To learn more about the person behind the pen name check out our Q&A with the author.
2. Wreckage by Emily Bleeker (New Entry) 74 (KF*)
One of the most wanted novels for February finished with a strong second place and just two points behind the winner. The contemporary fiction gathered more than 1000 positive reviews (av. 4.2 stars). Emily Bleeker is very happy with her debut. She gave a special interview for Land of Books about Wreckage.
1. The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins 76
Everyone expect that one of the hottest releases for 2015 is already showed his cards. The Girl on the Train passed like express very strong field of titles to get the first place in our February chart. The story behind the novel is very interesting and you may check out why with our special article.
