robert_ellis

– Robert, what is your next book City of Echoes about?
CITY OF ECHOES is the introduction of a new LAPD homicide detective, Matt Jones, on the first night of his first murder case. A man has been gunned down in a parking lot off Hollywood Boulevard. At a glance, the bullet-riddled body appears to be the work of a serial robber who’s been working the Strip for months. The crime is so grisly, the identity of the victim so outrageous, that Jones and his partner, Denny Cabrera, jump into the investigation faster than they should. Nothing about the direction they’re taking is even close to safe. As Jones uncovers evidence linking the crime to a brutal, ritualized murder that occurred eighteen months ago, he begins to suspect that there’s more going on beneath the surface, and that he and his partner are in too deep to turn back or escape. When Jones discovers how far the corruption goes, a cover-up that defies the imagination, and his own personal ties to the rising body count, he’s no longer sure he can trust anyone, not even himself.

CATHERINE COULTER: NEMESIS, AS MOST OF MY FBI THRILLERS, HAS TWO MYSTERIES

Catherine Coulter’s FBI mysteries are known as one of the most thrilling stories in the genre. Her last book Nemesis was published earlier in July.
The novel was consumed right away by the fans and currently is standing solidly in Kindle Top 40 ranks with average of 4.5 Amazon stars from 220 plus reviews. “Fabulous read”, “Nail biting thriller”, and “Catherine never let me down,” are some of the readers’ opinions about Nemesis.
Our next guest is NY Times Bestselling author with 75 books behind her. We’ve got a chance to chat with Catherine Coulter for a short Q&A during her writing of the next FBI mystery.

catherine

– Catherine, what is your last book Nemesis about?
– Most of my FBI thrillers have two mysteries and NEMESIS is no exception. Special Agent Lacey Sherlock is the nemesis in this 19th FBI thriller. Not only does she bring down a terrorist at JFK Airport, working with the New York Field Office, she stops the mastermind, a hugely bad dude. You’ll appreciate that St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York is saved, as is St. Paul’s in London. Ah, but the high speed train in France — you’ll have to read NEMESIS to see what happens.
In the second mystery, Special Agent Dillon Savich–with the help of Agent Griffin Hammersmith–has his hands full trying to track down a killer who uses others to unwittingly do his bidding. But one of his minions makes a big mistake and points Savich directly to a house of Wiccans in the small town of Plackett, Virginia. Savich knows one of them is the puppet master. But which one? When there are attempts on his life and Hammersmith’s, Savich wonders if he’s killed in a dream, will he really be dead? Scary, scary stuff.
Who is really behind the bombing attacks at JFK and St. Patrick’s? Terrorists, as it seems? Or does it go much deeper? And who is the psycho path puppet master in the small innocent town of Plackett? Dive into Nemesis and prepare for a wild ride.

– Barbara, Tell us about your new book, Crooked Little Lies. What is it about?
– Lauren Wilder is a wife and mother, and a businesswoman, who is accustomed to thinking of herself as ordinary, capable and reliable, until an accidental fall leaves her in a fragile state both physically and mentally. Now in recovery her every move is suspect; her every word is looked on with mistrust. Never more so than when she’s implicated in the disappearance of a young man, Bo Laughlin, with whom she had only the briefest of encounters. At least that’s how she remembers it. But the police have doubts, and as the search for Bo ensues, and the police hammer her with questions regarding her involvement, Lauren becomes terrified, not of what she remembers but of what she doesn’t.
With nowhere to turn, she begins her own investigation into the mystery of Bo’s disappearance, and immediately uncovers what seems to be a web of deceit, one that’s shared by her family and friends. But is her perception of events as they unfold real or a twisted projection of her damaged mind? The question CROOKED LITTLE LIES asks is this: What would you do if almost overnight the life you loved and depended on was taken from you and you were left with no one you could trust, not even yourself.
